Drive social media promotion and ticketed event marketing for Tavern Blue’s restaurant and entertainment calendar from a Coralville, IA onsite role.
Responsibilities

- Work with management and the Event Planner to take confirmed event details and build a promotional plan.
- Create and coordinate event posters and promotional materials, including graphics, photos, videos, and reels.
- Ensure every poster and post includes accurate details: date, time, performer or event name, ticket info, pricing, and age restrictions when applicable.
- Publish and schedule content using Meta Business Suite for Facebook and Instagram.
- Plan multiple promotional touchpoints for major events instead of posting only once.
- Schedule promotion far enough in advance to give events proper exposure before the event date.
- Increase promotion as events approach using reminders, countdowns, reels, stories, and day-of posting when appropriate.
- Create and publish ticketed events on EventCreate when required (title, description, date, time, pricing, ticket options, images, and all necessary details).
- Verify that the EventCreate ticket page is accurate before publishing, and update promptly if event details change.
- Use the EventCreate ticket link consistently across Facebook, Instagram, the Tavern Blue website, posters, and other promotional materials.
- Monitor ticket sales for upcoming events and relay important sales updates to management so promotion can be adjusted.
- Promote live music, themed events, special entertainment, holiday events, food and drink specials, games, private-event opportunities, and other Tavern Blue activities.
- Send confirmed event information and promotional materials to Tavern Blue’s outside marketing company for website and channel updates.
- Follow up with the outside marketing company when corrections, changes, or additional updates are needed.
- Coordinate with bands, performers, event hosts, or organizers to obtain promotional assets such as photos, logos, bios, videos, and related materials.
- Tag participating performers, organizations, bands, and partners appropriately to expand reach.
- Share event information into appropriate local Facebook groups and community channels when permitted.
- Maintain ongoing social media engagement between events with everyday content.
- Photograph and video events, including food, drinks, games, entertainment, staff, and the Tavern Blue atmosphere when appropriate.
- Create short-form video content and reels.
- Respond professionally to comments and social-media messages or direct questions by routing to management when needed.
- Monitor social performance and identify which posts, events, videos, and promotions drive the strongest engagement.
- Keep promotional information consistent across Facebook, Instagram, EventCreate, the Tavern Blue website, and other channels.
- Immediately correct outdated or inaccurate event information when an event changes.
- Communicate regularly with management about posted items, remaining promotions, ticketed events live on EventCreate, and needed content or information.
Requirements
