Job Description

Everyday Helper is seeking a part-time, independent contractor to take on the role of Director of Marketing and Business Development. You will shape marketing strategy, manage brand positioning, and identify new opportunities to propel growth from a hybrid setup based in Coralville, Iowa.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on multichannel, digital, content, and performance marketing.
Lead market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to inform strategic planning.
Oversee advertising campaigns across print and digital channels, social media, and paid media such as Facebook Ads and Google Ads.
Manage marketing automation tools and analytics platforms like Google Analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and optimize ROI.
Drive SEO initiatives to boost organic search rankings and online visibility through content optimization, keyword research, and website management.
Cultivate relationships with advertising sales partners and explore new business opportunities in B2B and B2C markets to expand revenue streams.
Lead the development of compelling copy for email campaigns, product descriptions, and promotional materials across channels.
Coordinate and film promotional videos for social media, including appearances on camera; comfortable being in front of the camera.
Assist in setting up and managing new social channels on platforms such as TikTok.

Requirements

Proven expertise across digital marketing channels including SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, and performance marketing strategies.
Proficiency with Canva for content creation and campaign design.
Experience with marketing automation platforms and analytics tools such as Google Analytics for data-driven decision-making.
Skilled in content development for diverse platforms—websites (WordPress), social media (Facebook and Instagram Advertising), email campaigns—and print advertising.
Excellent research capabilities coupled with copywriting skills to craft engaging messaging that resonates with target audiences.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail within budget constraints.
