Job Description

Marketing Specialist role at Great River Health supporting the Fort Madison campus marketing and digital campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages digital marketing campaigns across social platforms to boost presence and engagement.
  • Collaborates with the Senior Marketing Specialist to produce engaging content by researching health topics, interviewing experts, and translating complex healthcare information into user-friendly material.
  • Serves as the marketing liaison for the Fort Madison campus, handling campus-specific requests.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to create and execute targeted plans for defined audiences, markets, and service lines to advance the health system.
  • Designs and implements an ongoing video strategy for educational and promotional purposes across the health system.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and reports on digital marketing performance on a monthly basis.
  • Works with the marketing team to develop innovative strategies aimed at increasing patient volume.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (required).
  • 1–3 years of marketing experience with emphasis on content creation and digital marketing (required).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging diverse groups.
  • Experience with or ability to learn marketing tools including video production equipment, editing software, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities for content across multiple platforms.
  • Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, digital marketing tools, and content management systems with capability to manage organizational accounts.
  • Curiosity-driven mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with website analytics tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great attention to detail with strong prioritization skills.
