Job Description
Better Built Machines (BBM) is scaling its presence nationwide and needs a Marketing Manager based at its manufacturing headquarters in Shelbyville, KY. In this full-time, onsite role, you will take end-to-end ownership of brand identity, graphic and document standards, technical product marketing, and inbound demand generation, with close involvement in trade show execution.
You will help ensure BBM’s marketing materials stay consistent across every touchpoint, from specification cut sheets and proposal PDFs to website, social channels, and multi-channel ad and email campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and enforce comprehensive BBM Brand Style Guides, including primary/secondary color palettes, typography hierarchies, logo usage, clear space, and visual tone.
- Design and manage standardized templates for external and internal documents, including PDF product catalogs, machine specification cut sheets, customer quote/proposal templates, slide decks, and corporate letterheads.
- Maintain an organized digital asset management (DAM) system for high-resolution machine photography, CAD render graphics, vector logos, and video footage.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Sales to transform complex machinery specs into well-formatted brochures, one-pagers, and comparative spec charts.
- Manage and elevate BBM’s website, digital advertisements, email newsletters, and active social channels (YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram) while ensuring strict visual consistency.
- Design large-format graphics for national industry expos, including booth backdrops, banners, print handouts, and promotional merchandise.
- Launch and optimize multi-channel inbound campaigns targeting key decision-makers using Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, SEO, and email nurture sequences.
- Monitor performance using website traffic, document downloads, conversions, and ROI reporting within CRM/analytics tools to optimize marketing investment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of B2B marketing and graphic design experience, ideally supporting manufacturing, industrial equipment, automation, or capital machinery.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro) to create publication-ready vector graphics, page layouts, and interactive PDFs.
- Proven ability to create and enforce comprehensive Brand Style Guides and document design systems across print and digital assets.
- Strong foundation in digital marketing, CRM lead tracking, marketing automation, and CMS management (for example, WordPress).
- Exceptional focus on typography, layout hierarchy, grid systems, and technical document formatting.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- Experience marketing within stone fabrication machinery, CNC automation, or heavy equipment manufacturing.
- Hands-on familiarity with commercial photography, video production, or basic 3D CAD rendering integration into marketing media.
