Marketing Manager
Job Description
MIG, Inc. is a national planning, design and consulting firm in the AEC sector that relies on clear, strategic marketing to support proposal development, collateral creation, and interview materials. The Marketing Manager role offers hybrid/remote options in Portland and reports to the Chief Development Officer alongside the Director of Marketing Operations, aligning marketing operations with a multidisciplinary technical team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of a cross-office, cross-discipline marketing and business development team that supports multidisciplinary technical teams in proposal development and production, interview presentations, collateral development, and related activities.
- Oversee the timely production and delivery of high-quality proposals, interview presentations, and other rapid-turnaround efforts.
- Participate in and assist with proposal strategy and interview support.
- Assist in ongoing upgrades and updates to proposal materials, including resumes, project descriptions, and boilerplate text.
- Engage actively in team meetings to share best practices and drive improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications, business, graphic design or in an A/E/C field.
- A Master’s degree in any field is a plus.
- Relevant experience producing proposals and qualifications packages in the professional services/consulting industry is required.
- Experience in business development and/or supporting projects in urban planning, architecture, engineering, communications and/or design/construction industries is a plus.
- Ability to produce high-quality work products with strong quality control, assurance, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal team communication as well as external client and subconsultant work products.
- Ability to participate collaboratively in small and large group discussions.
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and a sense of urgency to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Collaborative spirit with the ability to work independently when needed to complete tasks.
- Active listener who can work with different personalities and professional styles.
- Proactive, organized, and flexible with the ability to adapt to resolving problems, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Software proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience in Google Suite and Deltek Vision is a plus.
