Job Description

Join J. Stout Auctions and support auction growth with hands-on marketing production that turns equipment into compelling content. This onsite full-time role brings together video, design, digital listings, and event promotion, with an emphasis on visuals that help drive bids and elevate the JSA brand.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage equipment listings on online marketplaces, ensuring high-quality photos, accurate descriptions, and up to date status.
  • Write engaging content for websites, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Create online advertisements and promotional auction media that aligns with JSA’s brand guide.
  • Produce visually compelling content for social media and in-auction highlights or commercials using Adobe Creative Suite or Final Cut Pro.
  • Plan and execute supply and support for trade show and promotional event marketing materials.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing and the Sales team to identify and stage sale-ready equipment for photo and video marketing.

Skills and experience needed

  • Own the content side of the role, especially video and design.
  • Be confident shooting and editing, with an eye for angles, lighting, movement, and key details buyers care about.
  • Strong in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator, with comfort working in Final Cut Pro as well.
  • Create clean graphics and motion elements, including lower thirds, reels, auction promos, and other branded materials.
  • Storytelling ability, with content that feels real and relevant.
  • Experience in automotive, heavy equipment, or a related industry is a plus.
  • Part 107 certification is a major plus, including strong drone operator capabilities to capture dynamic aerial content safely and legally.
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts, not just occasional posting.
  • Ability to plan content, stay consistent, track performance, and adjust based on what is working.
  • Be proactive, organized, creative, and comfortable in a fast-paced auction environment.

Education and schedule

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: 2-5 years’ marketing experience.
  • Schedule: Full time, 8 hour shift, day shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.
  • Expected hours: 40.0 per week.

Compensation and benefits

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour (DOE). The listed salary range is $26 - $30 hourly.
