Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator position at Seal Masters of Hawai‘i is based on site in Honolulu, Oahu, and centers on social media management, content creation, campaigns, and maintaining brand-consistent marketing across channels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and curate original content ideas, campaigns, and storytelling opportunities.
  • Coordinate content shoots, including shot lists and production timelines.
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos at job sites, events, and company functions.
  • Edit and produce content tailored for social media platforms.
  • Apply creative direction to content edits to meet brand standards.
  • Prepare finalized assets for posting and for marketing campaigns.
  • Organize and maintain content libraries and marketing assets.
  • Own day-to-day social media execution across all company platforms.
  • Write captions, schedule posts, and manage publishing calendars.
  • Control posting cadence using scheduling tools such as AgoraPulse.
  • Monitor engagement and track basic performance metrics.
  • Stay informed on social media trends and best practices.
  • Design graphics and marketing materials in Canva.
  • Support newsletters, marketing campaigns, and company events.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Assist with website updates and other marketing collateral as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Development and the Communications & Events Coordinator on marketing initiatives and event support.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience in social media management, content creation, or related marketing fields.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to learn rapidly and absorb technical project information efficiently.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a service-oriented approach.
  • High integrity, trustworthy, ethical, and accountable.
  • Team player who prioritizes the organization and team success.
  • Creative thinker who adapts quickly and contributes new ideas.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Canva is required.
  • Experience with CapCut, Edits by Instagram, or similar video editing software is required.
  • Comfort with operating professional camera equipment and DJI Pocket cameras for photo and video capture.
  • Ability to edit and produce engaging photo and video content for social channels.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and current platform trends.
  • Experience planning content shoots and developing shot lists.
  • Ability to contribute original ideas and assist in campaign development.
  • Basic knowledge of social media campaign planning, content strategy, and audience engagement.
  • Strong visual sensibility for branding, composition, storytelling, and asset organization.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom is preferred.
  • Experience with Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and general file organization workflows.
  • Portfolio, social media accounts, or examples of prior content creation work must be submitted with the application.
  • Experience with AI platforms such as Claude or ChatGPT is preferred.
