Job Description

Alliance Highway Safety invites you to join as a Marketing and Events Intern. This onsite role in Denver, CO focuses on coordinating sponsorship events across the Western United States, delivering hands-on exposure to event marketing and corporate sponsorships while staffing festivals, high school and college sports events, rodeos, and the Choices Matter Program. You will collaborate with a proactive team in a culture that values initiative, problem solving, and practical learning.

Your experience will span planning, travel coordination, venue collaboration, data collection, and creative asset work as you help amplify highway safety campaigns and sponsor activations across multiple communities. The role emphasizes hands-on participation and real-world impact, with opportunities to photograph activations and contribute to post-event recaps for clients.

Compensation and schedule include a USD 2,000 monthly stipend and an internship window from mid August through December, with start and end dates that are flexible to accommodate academic calendars. This position is onsite in Denver, Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Staff and fulfill events as scheduled, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays
  • Plan, book, and coordinate travel arrangements
  • Communicate with and coordinate venue staff and coordinators
  • Research marketing tools and collect program data
  • Travel to events to support highway safety campaigns
  • Report to managers to maximize the impact of safety programs
  • Prepare professional event recaps for clients
  • Capture photographs of marketing activations and audience engagement
  • Ensure venues meet sponsorship requirements (signage, PA announcements, video commercials, print ads, etc.)
  • Manage inventory for the office and off-site storage
  • Participate in team brainstorming to improve sponsorship activations
  • Create projects using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva (optional)
  • Performs other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time
  • Well-organized and dependable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Teams and HubSpot are a plus)
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented work ethic
  • Ability to work nontraditional hours, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree
