Marketing and Communications Manager
Job Description
The Marketing and Communications Manager at St. Luke’s Community House in Nashville, TN (onsite) oversees fundraising communications, content creation, brand marketing, and digital engagement, supporting development events and external communications.
Responsibilities
- Develop donor-centered communication strategies to strengthen stewardship, boost retention, and support donor acquisition.
- Write and edit appeals, impact reports, and fundraising materials that convey the mission and impact of St. Luke’s.
- Produce monthly donor newsletters and monthly Food Pantry updates for clients.
- Collaborate with the Development team to tailor communications for individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
- Create print and digital content for fundraising events, including invitations, sponsorship materials, programs, and presentations.
- Build and maintain a content library of talking points, stories, statistics, photography, and video assets for organization-wide consistency.
- Partner with Community Support Services and the Child Development Center to highlight program impact, success stories, and key updates for external audiences.
- Identify and implement new strategies to raise brand visibility and audience engagement.
- Ensure consistent application of St. Luke’s brand identity across platforms and materials.
- Serve as brand steward, maintaining alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and voice.
- Develop targeted marketing strategies with program teams to support goals while ensuring cohesive messaging.
- Establish a system to measure and evaluate marketing and advertising efforts.
- Maintain an inventory of branded materials and stationery.
- Manage a comprehensive content calendar for digital channels, including social media, email marketing, and the website.
- Create dynamic content such as graphics, videos, and stories to drive engagement and expand the organization’s digital presence.
- Monitor analytics to inform content strategy and report on key metrics.
- Maintain and update the organization’s website, including layout, written content, and multimedia features.
- Collaborate with the Development Director and key staff to plan and execute annual events, including the fundraising breakfast and the Toy Store.
- Provide communications and marketing support for additional events and programs as needed.
- Participate in team-wide development efforts, including large-scale mailings and donor engagement projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the organization’s mission.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in nonprofit communications, marketing, or a related field
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with an emphasis on storytelling and donor engagement
- Experience managing digital platforms such as LinkedIn and Meta Business Suite
- Experience with digital tools such as Emma, Canva, and Adobe Cloud
- Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Graphic design and/or video editing experience is a plus

- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a clear driving record for the last three years; ability to pass a drug test and clear background check
