Inside Sales Account Manager

Mid-South Metals is hiring an Inside Sales Account Manager in Shreveport, LA for an onsite, full-time role. This position partners closely with internal teams and external business contacts to support quoting, ordering, and ongoing account communication. Role summary

As an inside account representative, you will coordinate with internal teams to prepare quotes and orders, maintain detailed business records, and follow up with business partners and customers. The focus is on keeping information accurate, improving order flow, and supporting both individual and team sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with business partners and internal team members
• Prepare quotes, follow up on open quotes, and keep customers informed
• Review order details for accuracy and enter information into company systems
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, CAD, and other departments to address order requirements and keep work moving
• Follow up on order status, lead times, and customer questions
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business
• Work toward individual and team sales goals
• Maintain accurate account, quote, and order records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, or equivalent experience in industrial sales, customer service, manufacturing, or a related field
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning company systems, including CRM tools
• Able to manage multiple quotes, orders, and follow-ups without losing track of details
• Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to work with others to solve problems
• Metal or industrial distribution experience is a plus
