Job Description

Presbyterian Homes of Georgia in Quitman, GA is seeking an experienced Admissions & Marketing Specialist who can blend clinical insight with community outreach. The role leverages a licensed clinical background to guide prospective residents through screening, admissions, and placement across skilled nursing, personal care, and independent living, in close collaboration with the Admissions Coordinator and Nursing Team. It focuses on facilitating smooth transitions while supporting community relations and census growth.

In this role, you will serve as the clinical anchor for marketing and admissions activities, coordinating the intake process, communicating care needs, and building relationships with referral sources to sustain steady admissions.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Admissions Screening: Perform initial clinical screenings and assessments of potential residents (from hospital, home, or community) to determine the appropriate placement within skilled nursing, personal care, or independent living.
  • Admissions Process Facilitation: Work with the Admissions Coordinator to manage the admissions pipeline, ensuring all clinical and financial paperwork is complete prior to and on admission day.
  • Interdisciplinary Liaison: Act as the essential link between the marketing/admissions team and the Nursing Team, conveying clinical needs, physician orders, and care requirements for a smooth resident transition.
  • Marketing & Outreach Support: Support marketing events, community outreach, and facility tours, serving as the clinical expert who can confidently address questions about services and quality of care.
  • Census Development: Build and maintain professional relationships with key referral sources, including hospital discharge planners, social workers, and physician offices, to generate consistent admissions.

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Georgia preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in long-term care, skilled nursing, or senior living.
  • Proven experience in admissions, marketing, case management, or utilization review within a healthcare environment is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills, with the ability to build rapport with families, residents, and referral partners.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) such as Point-Click-Care and admissions software.
  • Customer-oriented approach with a professional yet approachable style.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Private Pay and Third Party reimbursement.
  • Knowledge of Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing regulations relating to Admissions.
  • Knowledge of the Senior Living & healthcare environment (Independent Living, Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Personal Care).
  • Ability to create a calm and peaceful environment.
  • Very detailed and organized.
  • Capable of working independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Capable of creating and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, family members, outside facilities, department heads, and fellow staff.
