Job Description

The role is a contract-to-full-time position for a Full Service Digital Marketing Account Manager responsible for overseeing a portfolio of law-firm clients, guiding onboarding, and delivering end-to-end digital marketing strategies across SEO, PPC, paid social, email, content, and performance analytics. The position is onsite in Portland, Oregon.

Role Context

This role partners with client stakeholders to implement comprehensive marketing programs, maintain ongoing client communications, and drive measurable growth through a full spectrum of digital channels. Strong emphasis is placed on strategic planning, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration with in-house writers and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic partner for an assigned portfolio of law-firm clients.
  • Lead and manage client onboarding, including intake discovery, goals alignment, brand audits, and technical setup.
  • Develop full-funnel digital marketing strategies across SEO, PPC, paid social, email, content, and conversion optimization.
  • Build, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
  • Oversee end-to-end SEO execution, including keyword research, content planning, on-page optimization, page builds, and technical SEO recommendations.
  • Conduct competitive analyses and identify growth opportunities for each client’s market and practice areas.
  • Coordinate content production (blogs, service pages, landing pages, ad copy, email campaigns) with internal and external writers.
  • Manage website updates through common CMS platforms (WordPress, Squarespace, etc.).
  • Monitor lead generation performance and optimize conversion paths, forms, tracking, and analytics.
  • Set up, QA, and manage tracking infrastructure (GA4, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, call tracking tools).
  • Produce monthly performance reports with clear insights, KPIs, and recommended next steps tailored to the legal industry.
  • Present reporting and strategy updates to clients during scheduled monthly and quarterly meetings.
  • Maintain organized project management workflows, timelines, and deliverables across multiple clients.
  • Manage budgets for ad spend, prioritize ROI-driven decisions, and proactively identify areas of optimization.
  • Stay current with changes in digital marketing trends, especially those impacting legal advertising and local search.
  • Maintain exceptional communication, proactive outreach, and relationship-building with clients to increase retention and account growth.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities for additional marketing services when beneficial to client goals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing full-funnel digital marketing campaigns across SEO, PPC, paid social, email, and content.
  • Proven success managing client accounts or internal stakeholders, ideally in an agency or multi-client environment.
  • Strong SEO expertise, including keyword research, competitive analysis, content strategy, technical SEO fundamentals, and on-page optimization.
  • Proficiency with industry tools, including SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, Meta Business Suite, and call-tracking platforms.
  • Experience building, launching, and optimizing PPC campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Campaigns).
  • Ability to interpret analytics data to identify trends, diagnose performance issues, and present clear insights.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to website troubleshooting, tagging, and technical SEO.
  • Familiarity with major CMS platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, and Showit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data and strategy for non-technical clients.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with a track record of managing multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and the ability to pivot strategies based on client goals or changing market conditions.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Comfort analyzing large volumes of data and making recommendations that drive measurable growth.
  • Eagerness to learn, stay current with digital marketing trends, and take on new challenges in a fast-moving agency environment.

Position Summary

Trial Guides seeks a capable Full Service Digital Marketing Account Manager to join the agency team, reporting to the Director of Marketing. The role begins as a contract position with strong potential for permanent placement for high performers. The ideal candidate will manage client relationships, lead onboarding, and execute end-to-end marketing strategies for a portfolio of law-firm clients, delivering measurable results through SEO, paid media, email, brand positioning, content strategy, and performance analytics. While open to applicants nationwide, there is a strong preference for in-person work at the Portland, Oregon office.
