Event Sales & Marketing Coordinator
Job Description
The Remix Room seeks an Event Sales and Marketing Coordinator to blend event hosting, guest services, sales, and promotional work in order to grow bookings while delivering memorable experiences onsite in Spearfish, SD. The role offers potential for a full-time career path with expanded duties and increased earning potential.

Hourly wage range: USD 17.00 to 25.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Proactively secure new birthday party bookings and private events
- Develop relationships with schools, daycares, youth groups, sports teams, churches, and local businesses
- Represent the venue at community events and networking opportunities
- Respond promptly to inquiries from potential clients
- Promote repeat bookings and referrals
- Create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Post consistently across social channels
- Capture photos and videos during events with appropriate permissions
- Collaborate on promotions and seasonal events
- Distribute flyers and promotional materials throughout the community
- Greet guests and deliver exceptional customer service
- Prepare spaces by setting up rooms before each event
- Explain safety rules and guide guests through their experience
- Assist with birthday celebrations and other special events
- Clean and reset the room after each party
- Assist guests with packaging artwork to take home
- Open and close the business as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized facility
- Monitor inventory and alert management when supplies are low
- Assist with special events, vendor fairs, and community festivals
- Schedule new parties and events
- Maintain excellent customer service and gather positive feedback
- Grow social media engagement and keep the facility guest-ready
- Represent The Remix Room professionally within the community

Commission Guidelines
- Commission applies only to bookings directly attributable to your efforts
- Commission is paid after the event occurs and payment is received
- No commission for canceled events, refunded bookings, or unpaid balances
- Bookings generated through company advertising, the website, or other employees may not qualify unless you directly converted them into a confirmed reservation
- Management determines commission eligibility if multiple employees contributed
Commission-Based Pay
In addition to hourly pay for scheduled shifts and event hosting, there is an opportunity to earn commission by expanding The Remix Room's bookings. Commissions are paid on qualifying parties you personally generate through your marketing, networking, referrals, or direct sales efforts.
