Job Description
The Park Hotel on the Plaza, a Tapestry by Hilton property in Kansas City, seeks a strategic leader to guide its sales and marketing efforts. This onsite role oversees the entire sales operation, shaping revenue growth, expanding market share, and building strong relationships with guests and business partners while upholding exceptional guest service.

Compensation
Salary: USD 70,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a cohesive sales and marketing plan for the property.
- Assess market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitive positioning to maximize REVPAR.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with key accounts and prospective new business leads.
- Perform external sales calls and consistently meet weekly sales targets.
- Maintain client databases and log activities accurately in PEP and OnQ R&I systems.
- Attend sales, revenue, and management meetings to align priorities.
- Coordinate sales blitzes, networking events, and community engagement activities.
- Collaborate with local tourism bureaus and community organizations.
- Oversee all aspects of meeting room bookings and group sales.
- Manage hotel advertising, social channels, and third-party listings.
- Respond to brand RFPs and work with Liberty Hospitality Partners (LHP).
- Maintain visibility in the community and represent the hotel at events.
- Prepare annual marketing plans and sales reports.
- Participate in the Manager on Duty program and support daily operations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Requirements
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in hotel sales or a similar hospitality role.
- Proficiency with sales platforms such as PMS, STS, PEP, and R&I, plus Microsoft Office.
- Ability to use basic computer design tools for creating flyers and promotional content.
- Strong knowledge of the local market and hospitality industry trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform routine office-related tasks.
