Job Description

Software Engineer II in TechOps drives application stability, proactive operational readiness, and AI driven incident management across Home Depot's core marketing and IT ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Intelligent Automation & AI Ops: design, build, and implement AI powered solutions and ML models to boost proactive anomaly detection, automate root cause analysis, and enable self healing issue resolution.
  • Centralized Support & Incident Triage: own the primary L1/L2/L3 intake to triage, troubleshoot, and remediate advanced tickets, reducing MTTR and shielding stakeholders from complex platform errors.
  • Application Health & Defensive QA: partner with core engineering to create health validation pipelines and monitor active data flows to isolate data mapping anomalies before downstream impact.
  • Launch Readiness & Technical Documentation: act as the onboarding partner for new IT capabilities, producing essential documentation including system diagrams, data dictionaries, job schedules, and API mappings to ensure day one supportability.
  • Technical Product Training & Onboarding: develop and deliver technical product training on tool mechanics to onboard new teams, covering UI navigation, deep configuration rules, and platform capabilities.
  • Lifecycle Optimization & Support Telemetry: conduct blameless post mortems and convert support telemetry into actionable engineering backlogs to drive platform improvements and track product level SLOs.
  • Automation & Scripting: write custom code, scripts, and automated ticketing paths to streamline workflows, enhance event monitoring, and manage cross platform routing between IT and business teams.
  • Advanced Platform Operation: operate, configure, and tune complex in house tools, data products, and off the shelf solutions where self service capabilities are not available.
  • Professional Growth & Problem Solving: actively pursue growth through formal and informal development channels and learn from both successes and failures when tackling new problems.
  • Collaborative Execution: work with teammates in agile processes, help create new and better ways for the team to succeed, engage openly with diverse groups, and build partnerships to meet shared objectives.
