Social Media Manager / Marketing & Internet Manager
Job Description
Granite Run Buick GMC is hiring a Social Media Manager / Marketing & Internet Manager for onsite work in Media, PA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and run the dealership’s social media and content strategy end to end.
- Create original content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
- Generate creative concepts, recurring series, and campaigns to improve reach, engagement, and dealership awareness.
- Plan, shoot, and produce short-form video throughout the dealership.
- Edit video using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable tools.
- Photograph vehicles, customers, events, and team members.
- Produce vehicle walkarounds, educational videos, customer stories, behind-the-scenes content, promotional videos, and personality-driven content.
- Track relevant trends, sounds, formats, and opportunities to adapt for Granite Run Buick GMC.
- Write social-first hooks, captions, scripts, and concepts.
- Maintain an organized, consistent content calendar.
- Publish and manage content across dealership social channels.
- Monitor performance and use analytics to decide what to expand, change, or stop.
- Stay current on platform changes, trends, and best practices.
- Coach and mentor the sales team on social media best practices.
- Help individual salespeople build and maintain a professional online presence.
- Create video ideas, scripts, hooks, and talking points for sales team members.
- Support employees in speaking and appearing on camera.
- Assist salespeople with filming and content creation.
- Provide guidance on editing, posting, and distributing sales team content.
- Build repeatable content strategies salespeople can realistically maintain.
- Encourage participation and help establish a dealership culture where social media supports everyday sales.
- Spot team members with strong potential and help develop their individual personalities and audiences online.
- Collaborate with dealership leadership and existing marketing partners.
- Help guide overall dealership marketing strategy and creative direction.
- Contribute ideas for promotions, campaigns, events, and dealership messaging.
- Coordinate social media with broader dealership digital and traditional marketing efforts.
- Review marketing and creative materials for brand consistency and effectiveness.
- Help ensure promotions are communicated consistently across platforms.
- Identify new marketing opportunities and emerging digital channels.
- Bring a strong internal dealership perspective to outside marketing partners.
- Translate dealership objectives and sales priorities into executable marketing campaigns.
- Partner with dealership leadership and the sales team to improve handling of online customer inquiries.
- Strengthen communication and follow-up for internet customers.
- Review the customer journey from initial digital inquiry through dealership engagement.
- Identify opportunities to improve response times, engagement, and appointment opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales leadership on internet-related processes and performance.
- Support efforts to convert online customer interest into meaningful dealership interactions.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience creating social media content.
- Strong short-form video production and editing skills.
- Understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
- Ability to create content designed to stop scrolling and drive views.
- Ability to produce polished content without an overly corporate feel.
- Strong creative instincts and consistent idea generation.
- Comfort combining content creation with content strategy.
- Ability to organize and manage a consistent publishing calendar.
- Comfort coaching, motivating, and directing different personalities.
- Comfort working with salespeople in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear communication with dealership leadership and outside marketing partners.
- Comfort appearing on camera when needed.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
- Understanding of how social media supports both branding and sales.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Automotive dealership experience is a plus, but not required.
- Provide links to at least three examples of social media or video content you personally helped create.
- Be prepared to explain your role in those examples, including whether you were responsible for: Creative concept, Filming, Video editing, Photography, Copywriting, Social media strategy, Publishing/distribution, On-camera performance.
- Be prepared to describe your role in creating those examples.
