Part-Time Social Media & Marketing Assistant
Job Description
Banzerini House is seeking a part-time Social Media & Marketing Assistant to support a nonprofit arts academy and production organization in North Phoenix. This hybrid role offers a flexible schedule for an average of 15–20 hours per week, with opportunities to capture and promote classes, rehearsals, performances, and events.
What you’ll do
- Help manage Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, including posts, Stories, Reels, and short videos.
- Write, build, proofread, and schedule weekly marketing emails promoting upcoming shows, enrollment, fundraisers, and special events.
- Attend scheduled classes, rehearsals, performances, and events to document what’s happening at BH.
- Turn photos and footage into finished posts and videos with appropriate captions, music, clear audio, and platform-specific formatting.
- Maintain a simple content calendar and coordinate with the team so promotions go out consistently and on time.
- Support marketing efforts by creating graphics, event announcements, performer spotlights, behind-the-scenes content, and other promotional materials.
- Check dates, times, names, ticket links, and program details before submitting content for approval.
- Monitor comments and messages during scheduled work time, respond to routine questions, and route other inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
- Organize photos, videos, graphics, and documents in Google Drive and internal systems.
- Track basic engagement and email performance to help identify what content resonates.
- Use Slack and custom administrative tools to communicate, receive assignments, share drafts, and track progress.
What you bring
- Comfort working with a desktop or laptop, managing files and folders, using browser tabs and applications, uploading/downloading assets, and handling basic troubleshooting.
- Understanding of creating, formatting, and publishing content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Basic framing, lighting, and sound awareness (phone-captured quality content is welcome).
- Ability to trim footage, add captions, resize content, and produce clear, engaging short videos.
- Confidence writing captions and short promotional emails, with proofreading and fact-checking habits.
- Comfort with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Calendar, including shared files and collaboration.
- Experience using Slack channels and threads, with timely communication during agreed working hours and comfort sharing files through Slack.
- Willingness to learn and consistently use proprietary administrative tools and provide feedback as they evolve.
- Ability to manage assignments, meet deadlines, ask questions when needed, and communicate if timelines are slipping.
- Comfort working around students, families, staff, and performers, following photo permissions and the content approval process.
Schedule, pay, and location
- Location: Hybrid remote in Phoenix, AZ 85086
- On-site time: Scheduled on-site time is required to capture content.
- Hours: Approximately 15–20 hours per week
- Schedule: Primarily afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends, with flexibility around classes (scheduled assignments required).
- Pay: $18–$22 per hour, depending on skills and experience

- Interest in theatre, film, photography, or the performing arts
How you’ll work with the team
You’ll work with BH leadership to set weekly priorities, receive feedback, and get approval on content. Some assignments will take place during rehearsals, performances, and events, so reliable transportation to the North Phoenix location and availability for scheduled afternoon, evening, or weekend coverage are important.
