Marketing Support Specialist
Job Description
The Marketing Support Specialist will assist in planning and executing marketing and communications for educational events, products, and professional learning across multiple channels. This role helps drive engagement, promote ESC Region 13 services, and support campaign delivery from an onsite location in Austin, TX. Annual compensation is USD 50,489, and the position requires a minimum of 13 years of marketing or communications experience.
Responsibilities
- Represent ESC Region 13 with professionalism, courtesy, and discretion in all communications and public interactions
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing marketing and communications campaigns
- Support content creation efforts, including writing and editing for web, email, and social media platforms
- Help maintain editorial calendars and schedule content across digital channels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and assets needed for campaigns
- Track and report on basic performance metrics such as social media engagement and email opens/clicks
- Conduct basic market research to inform campaign planning and audience targeting
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and style standards
- Assist with the creation of marketing materials and event collateral using templates and design tools
- Maintain organization of marketing files, assets, and project timelines
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team as needed
- Stay current on marketing trends and tactics, particularly in the education sector
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 13 years of marketing or communications experience, internships or part-time work considered
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content scheduling tools
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
