Marketing Specialist

Fastenal's marketing team is seeking a hands-on Marketing Specialist to manage website content and optimization from our Winona, Minnesota site. The role centers on planning and delivering digital content for our website portfolio, including site builds and landing pages, with SEO and AEO practices to drive visibility and engagement. This on-site position blends creative execution with data-driven insights to support sales and cross-functional teams across the business.

Overview

As a full-time Marketing Specialist with a website focus, you will plan, organize, and implement digital content for the company site(s), including website builds, landing page creation, and support for SEO and AEO initiatives. Following onboarding and performance milestones, the role may offer a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop, launch, and manage multiple websites and landing pages to support campaigns and product launches.
• Maintain consistent brand messaging across internal and external audiences.
• Assist sales teams and other departments to reach business goals through a range of marketing activities.
• Analyze data, conduct research, and provide ongoing marketing metrics reporting.
• Apply techniques such as building web pages, crafting emails, and creating social content to back campaign initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to meet driving record requirements to use a company vehicle when needed.
• Hold or be pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Mass Communication, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science, or have at least two years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail, creative mindset, and eagerness to learn and implement new programs.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service oriented.
• Strong organization, planning, and prioritization abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Pass the required drug screen where applicable (US, Puerto Rico and Guam).

Compensation

Base pay range is USD 50,000 to 56,000 per year. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
