Marketing Manager
Job Description
Marketing Manager on-property at Hotel Van Zandt in Austin, TX 78701, overseeing marketing initiatives, events and activations, and day-to-day collaboration with agency partners to ensure brand consistency.
Responsibilities
- Implement annual and quarterly marketing plans created in collaboration with the Area Director of Marketing
- Oversee daily marketing requests and priorities from hotel departments
- Coordinate project timelines and ensure campaigns are delivered on schedule
- Maintain marketing calendars, campaign timelines, promotions, and activation roadmaps
- Support budget tracking, invoice handling, vendor coordination, and marketing expenses management
- Liaise with agency partners, creative teams, photographers, printers, and external vendors
- Produce monthly reports and marketing recaps covering campaign performance, social metrics, website analytics, and promotions results
- Coordinate content collection across the property, including photography, video, guest experiences, activations, and F&B programming
- Act as the primary liaison for social media and PR agency partners
- Create and organize content assets for social media, website, email campaigns, and promotions
- Support influencer visits, media stays, and creator partnerships by preparing face sheets and coordinating welcome amenities
- Monitor social channels for brand consistency, guest engagement opportunities, and emerging trends
- Prepare monthly social performance reports and content recaps
- Maintain and update the Hotel Van Zandt website with offers, packages, event listings, landing pages, and content updates
- Assist with email marketing campaigns through content gathering, copywriting, asset management, and deployment coordination
- Keep online listings and business profiles accurate and current
- Monitor website functionality and coordinate updates with corporate and agency partners
- Assist in tracking campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities
- Serve as the primary on-property marketing contact for all events, activations, and experiential programming
- Plan and execute hotel events, partnerships, promotions, and community initiatives
- Ensure event details are communicated internally through SOPs and operational channels
- Attend and support activations, media events, influencer visits, photoshoots, and community engagements as needed
- Manage event listings and promotional calendars across third-party platforms including Visit Austin, Do512, and partner channels
- Collaborate with Operations and Food & Beverage teams to ensure successful execution and guest experience delivery
- Identify opportunities to boost visibility, local engagement, and revenue through experiential programming
- Maintain brand standards across guest-facing collateral and marketing materials
- Update and coordinate production of signage, menus, collateral, sales materials, event materials, and in-room communications
- Support design and production of basic marketing materials, presentations, flyers, promotional assets, and internal communications
- Ensure marketing touchpoints reflect brand positioning and current offerings
- Support Sales, Catering, Revenue Management, and Food & Beverage teams with marketing materials and promotions
- Brainstorm and develop unique packages and experiential offerings aligned with sales, revenue, and PR goals
- Write on-brand copy for packages, website, emails, social media, and collateral
- Collaborate with the Area Director of Marketing on partnerships and fulfillment for packages, events, and activations
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support events and activations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing communications or a related field
- Minimum of three years of relevant marketing experience or training
- Demonstrated marketing experience is required
- Hospitality industry experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent reading comprehension and literacy for reviewing manager communications, contracts, and proposals
- Effective negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficiency with MS Word for Windows
- Strong ability to communicate at all organizational levels; excellent time management and multitasking
