Marketing Coordinator
Job Description
Join Universal Stone Imports, Inc. as a Marketing Coordinator and shape the full spectrum of our marketing efforts across digital, print, and events. This on-site role in Winston-Salem, North Carolina offers a collaborative environment where you’ll partner with the Sales and Marketing Director, manage agency relationships, and deliver a broad range of creative assets. The position carries a salary of USD 60,000 - 80,000 per year and prefers candidates with a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of marketing experience.
Responsibilities
- Implement the overall marketing plan in collaboration with the Sales/Marketing Director.
- Build and maintain a rolling content calendar aligned to inventory priorities, seasonal campaigns, product launches, and sales team input.
- Regularly collect feedback from the sales team on messaging, products, and campaigns, using insights to refine strategy.
- Research industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities; present ideas and recommendations to leadership.
- Assist with marketing budget planning, expense tracking, and vendor management in coordination with the director.
- Manage all USI social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) with consistent posting and active follower engagement.
- Produce on-site photos and videos, including short-form content, and edit for social, website, and other digital channels.
- Coordinate with customers, dealers, and contractors to schedule project photoshoots for catalogs, brochures, website, and social content.
- Create graphics, flyers, social media artwork, and digital assets using Canva or similar tools.
- Produce branded print materials such as brochures, product sheets, sell sheets, and event collateral.
- Ensure content accuracy and brand consistency reflecting current product availability and pricing.
- Develop and execute email campaigns including promotions, product launches, drip sequences, and dealer communications.
- Design email layouts in Canva; manage list segmentation and distribution through the company’s email platform.
- Analyze email performance and optimize campaigns based on results.
- Update website content regularly, including product pages, blog posts, landing pages, and promotional content.
- Apply SEO best practices to improve organic visibility and search ranking.
- Monitor website performance and coordinate with agency partners or internal resources to address issues and opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external marketing and advertising agencies.
- Provide agencies with accurate product information, photography, campaign direction, and budget parameters.
- Review ad creative, copy, and targeting before launch; ensure brand accuracy and message alignment.
- Hold agencies accountable to performance benchmarks; review campaign results and drive optimizations.
- Manage paid advertising strategy with the director across Google, Meta, and other active channels.
- Evaluate agency performance and recommend adjustments to vendor relationships as needed.
- Lead Universal Stone’s presence at trade shows and industry events, including planning, collateral preparation, booth setup, and on-site representation.
- Assist with customer events and company-sponsored experiences.
- Maintain and evolve brand standards across all public-facing materials and channels.
- Oversee public-facing documentation, literature, apparel, giveaway items, and printed materials on an ongoing basis.
- Address campaign issues promptly to minimize disruption to active marketing efforts.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, graphic design, or related field preferred.
- Minimum five years of professional marketing experience with demonstrated ownership of strategy and execution.
- Experience in stone, hardscapes, construction, outdoor living, or related industries is a strong plus.
- Proven track record developing and executing high level marketing strategies and targeted campaigns.
- Portfolio of past marketing and design work strongly preferred.
- Proficient with Canva or comparable design software for graphics, flyers, email templates, and print collateral.
- Comfortable filming and editing photo and video content on an iPhone or similar device for social media and digital distribution.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar) including list management, design, and performance reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of social media platforms and content best practices across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Working knowledge of SEO principles and website content management (WordPress or comparable CMS).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel and SAP Business One or comparable ERP platform.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong creative instincts balanced with analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to represent USI professionally in any setting.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines without close supervision. A self-starter mindset is essential.
- Valid driver’s license and U.S. residency required.
- Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
