Job Description
Part-time Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Central Oregon Locavore oversees content production, campaigns, membership growth, sponsor fulfillment, event promotion, and analytics from a Bend, Oregon base. This hybrid role offers an hourly rate of $24 to $26 and a clear path to full-time for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Content and campaigns: Develop and publish social media posts, email newsletters, blog entries, and website copy. Maintain the content calendar autonomously; a freelance designer handles graphics, while you brief, review, and publish the visuals.
- Membership and lead generation: Increase LocaPoints enrollments and member conversions through acquisition-focused campaigns. Own the lead magnet funnel and the welcome sequence.
- Sponsor fulfillment: Deliver all contracted benefits on time; craft messaging that demonstrates genuine familiarity with each partner's business; close each engagement with a professional wrap report.
- Event promotion: Execute campaigns that drive ticket sales and sign-ups for the annual Rooted & Rising Gala and other events.
- Analytics: Track email performance, social growth, Guide downloads, coupon redemptions, and membership conversions; surface what matters weekly during Level 10 reviews.
Requirements
- Strong writing ability with published work to prove it, such as emails, social captions, or long-form copy that has been deployed.
- Experience maintaining calendars and meeting deadlines across multiple workstreams.
- Ability to read performance reports and determine actionable next steps.
- Proactive mindset with proposed solutions rather than only identifying problems.
- Comfort working in a small, fast-paced organization where your work is visible and your results matter.
Benefits
- Quarterly performance bonuses tied to campaign results above target.
- An established brand with a deep story and 17 years of earned trust in Bend.
- Visible work that directly reaches the community sustaining local food in Central Oregon.
- Paid time off.
