Marketing Associate
Job Description
The Marketing Associate at JCC Chicago plans, creates, and executes social media content and campaigns to raise program awareness, drive engagement, and grow followers organization-wide.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and execute integrated social media campaigns aligned with program goals.
- Produce engaging photo carousels, videos, and other assets that reflect the organization’s on-brand voice and meet engagement targets.
- Schedule posts across all active social platforms.
- Monitor and respond to social media messages and comments to foster community engagement.
- Bring fresh creative ideas and a strong visual perspective to campaign development and content positioning.
- Attend JCC events across Chicagoland to capture on-brand photos and videos for social media, promotional materials, and digital archives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute social media and marketing projects from concept through delivery, including messaging, copy, and creative support.
- Support the production and installation of events, exhibits, and other marketing materials in partnership with the Assistant Director of Marketing Operations.
- Operate production equipment and assist with on-site installations as needed.
- Manage digital assets, organize event photography in PhotoShelter, and keep website calendars and content up to date.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in social media, marketing, communications, or related fields.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Track record of planning and executing marketing campaigns.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or related field.
- Physical requirements include repetitive movement of arms/hands to operate computer equipment; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to lift and move up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to focus.

- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Knowledge of social media, digital marketing, branding, and content development.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Monday.com, Microsoft Teams, digital asset management systems, SEO, and digital advertising preferred.
- Passion for building community and fostering positive relationships.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance with a minimum $250,000 liability.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.

Schedule and Travel
- Hybrid schedule; Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional evenings and weekends required
- Frequent local travel to JCC locations throughout Chicagoland
Compensation
- Salary: USD 60,000 – 65,000 per year
