Job Description
Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Silver Creek Valley Country Club, a Troon property in San Jose, CA (onsite), with compensation of USD 27 - 35 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing tactics and strategy to raise awareness of the Silver Creek Valley CC brand while communicating the Sales & Marketing Plan, collaborating with onsite club management, the Board and Committees, and the Troon Corporate team.
- Lead content development and production for membership materials, including prospecting, onboarding, and retention efforts.
- Drive marketing initiatives from the Sales & Marketing Plan, such as paid digital campaigns, new homeowner outreach, and realtor relations.
- Manage Silver Creek Valley CC social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) ensuring consistent, high quality content that reflects the brand. Create and schedule posts, monitor engagement, reply to comments, and produce visual and written content for internal and external distribution. Analyze web and social analytics and provide performance reports.
- Develop a comprehensive communication plan covering all club communications from emails to newsletters.
- Design and execute a monthly Club newsletter featuring content from each department.
- Maintain the club website by updating calendars, events, menus, hours of operation, and event galleries; coordinate and edit email communications on behalf of Club Departments, Boards, and Committees; oversee content collection and website functionality and performance.
- Contribute to club and community success through positive member and staff interactions, fostering hospitality, leadership, and mutual respect.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager or Sales Director.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or social media.
- Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent; Business & Marketing preferred.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CMS platforms, and social scheduling tools.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong eye for design and visual storytelling.
- Strong organizational skills with time management, attention to detail, and the ability to self-start.
- Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality results under strict deadlines.
- Team player capable of collaborating with other departments, committees, and the Board to meet club goals.
- Experience with social media advertising and campaign management is preferred.
- Familiarity with club management software is preferred.
