Fund Development & Marketing Director

The Fund Development & Marketing Director at Working In Neighborhoods leads the organization’s fundraising and marketing efforts, with a focus on donor cultivation, annual giving, grants, and stakeholder communications, while supervising staff and coordinating proposals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit new donors and steward both new and existing supporters through ongoing communication and relationship-building.
• Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of the Salesforce database, including gift receipting, acknowledgments, and pledge reminders.
• Draft and edit WIN's monthly newsletter for donors and friends.
• Lead Annual Giving campaigns and develop strategies to expand the annual donor base.
• Conduct grant and foundation research, prepare proposals, and report outcomes in collaboration with other WIN staff.
• Deliver presentations about WIN to prospective supporters.
• Create donor recognition programs.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to implement fund development strategies that advance WIN's mission and values.
• Maintain a current understanding of fundraising trends.
• Supervise the Fund Development and Marketing Assistant.
• Serve as staff liaison to the Hall of Fame and Fund Development committees.
• Serve on the Administrative Team.
• Coordinate WIN's volunteer program.

Requirements

• Strong commitment to advancing WIN's mission and vision.
• Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years in fund development or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.
• Ability to utilize appropriate technology to achieve fund development goals.
• Focus on building and motivating a diverse staff, board members, and volunteers to act as WIN ambassadors and expand philanthropic opportunities.

The role includes supervising fundraising team members and, in collaboration with other team members, developing targeted grant proposals and related initiatives.
