Conferences Marketing Manager
Job Description
The Conferences Marketing Manager role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution to drive data‑driven, paid growth initiatives that attract attendees to Gartner conferences and generate revenue, focusing on senior business audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted acquisition and paid growth campaigns across digital channels including email, website, SEM, social media, and retargeting to maximize registrations and qualified leads.
- Collaborate with conference web, content, brand, and sales teams to articulate compelling value propositions and design tailored journeys for B2B buyers.
- Utilize segmentation, competitive analysis, and market opportunity assessments to shape campaign strategy and positioning.
- Leverage analytics tools and survey data to optimize channel mix and campaign ROI, continually reviewing performance metrics and iterating strategies for improved results.
- Lead the creation and optimization of content for paid and owned channels to ensure messaging resonates with senior business decision-makers.
- Support sales enablement by developing easy-to-use prospect materials and maintaining a central repository for sales support tools.
- Monitor demand conversion and campaign performance, identify challenges and solutions, and report results to stakeholders with opportunities for optimization.
- Stay current on digital marketing innovations, SEO/SEM trends, and the competitive landscape to drive best-in-class campaign execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B and B2C acquisition, paid growth, and digital marketing with direct revenue responsibility.
- Proven track record in multi-channel campaign creation, lead management, and pipeline conversion.
- Strong analytical skills; experience with Google Analytics and marketing automation platforms is a plus.
- Exceptional project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to write compelling copy and develop creative content for a senior-level business audience.
- Experience with SEO/SEM, web content creation, and content management systems.
- Collaborative, data-driven, and innovative mindset; comfortable working cross-functionally to drive results.
- Willingness to travel up to 5-10 percent regionally and internationally.
