Social Marketing Coordinator
Job Description
This on-site role in Omaha, NE pays USD 47,000 - 50,000 annually and leads marketing and communications for The RiverFront across social media, email, print, and design.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary public-facing voice for The RiverFront on social channels, inquiries, and public communications, maintaining a consistent, on-brand tone.
- Monitor social platforms and other public information streams, responding promptly to comments, messages, and inquiries in a brand-consistent manner.
- Collaborate with MECA's communications team to manage short-form video, real-time event coverage, and imagery, ensuring a cohesive voice across content.
- Track park programming, events, and day-to-day activity to identify marketing opportunities.
- Develop strategic marketing initiatives and plans in partnership with park staff and MECA communications.
- Lead the creation of marketing and development communication calendars.
- Create and edit The RiverFront communications and marketing materials for digital and print.
- Coordinate cross-department efforts to maintain a unified brand voice across media, communications, and promotions.
- Lead the creation and deployment of marketing and development emails, newsletters, and mailers.
- Oversee website management and contribute original content such as articles, updates, and seasonal features to keep it current and search-friendly.
- Design and manage digital and print marketing materials, including maps, signs, brochures, passes, calendars, infographics, and posters.
- Produce visual assets such as infographics, signage, and digital notifications to clearly communicate park information and programming, using accessible design tools.
- Manage data collection and internal reporting for website, email, and social media campaigns.
- Maintain marketing collateral assets, including park and event photographs, keeping files current and organized, and coordinate content captures as needed.
- Support internal communications, including new employee announcements and staff updates.
- Assist during events as required.
- Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Business, Communications, or related field.
- Two years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint).
- Strong computer, creative/graphic design, and layout skills for marketing proposals, presentations, and collateral material.
- Experience with graphic design and communications programs and platforms including InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, MailerLite, and other multimedia tools.
- Excellent judgment, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Proactive, dedicated, efficient, and communicative work style.
- Strong interpersonal skills with tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work with staff, volunteers, guests, and diverse audiences.
