Job Description
Capital One seeks a Principal Associate, Commercial Bank Marketing Strategist to lead multi-channel marketing strategy for B2B prospects and clients within the Commercial Banking Marketing organization, onsite in Plano, TX.
Responsibilities
- Foster strong partnerships with line-of-business leaders in targeted industries such as Healthcare, Technology, and Healthcare Real Estate to understand their nuances and deliver forward-looking solutions that support prospecting, cross-sell, and client retention.
- Collaborate with business leads or their proxies to design and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Own projects end-to-end, including storytelling, project management, and aligning work with the broader strategy and business actions.
- Develop scalable campaigns that span multiple lines of business within Commercial Banking.
- Define campaign metrics and derive insights to inform positioning, claims, product strategy, and marketing plans; share key customer KPIs and qualitative feedback with partner teams and contribute to action-oriented plans.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on marketing support, KPIs, and progress against those KPIs.
- Prioritize and manage LOB marketing requests, ensuring alignment with business goals, coordinating with teams to confirm asset capacity, and setting expectations on timing and prioritization.
- Build deep knowledge of channels (email, web, content, social, collateral, events) and tools (Google Workspace, Tableau, AI tools, self-serve platforms), plus processes and brand standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business partners, creative, events, content, technology, legal, and compliance to provide strategic and tactical input for project delivery.
- Maintain a client-first mindset with strong communication and partnership skills to inform, influence, and coordinate with key stakeholders.
- Be willing to broaden expertise and become a subject-matter expert in preferred channels or platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in multi-channel marketing programs
- At least 4 years of experience managing marketing intent, partnering with creative and channel teams, and developing campaigns and briefs
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications
- More than 5 years of marketing experience in financial services
- Over 5 years of Business to Business (B2B) marketing experience
