Job Description

The Marketing Strategy Administrator at Betances Health Center will steer the organization’s visual identity, public relations approach, and digital storytelling. This senior role leads creative strategy and serves as the primary content producer, collaborating with the Director of Outreach and Marketing.

Location and Compensation

Onsite in New York, NY. Annual salary: USD 70,000 to 75,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Betances Health Center's visual identity and public messaging across channels.
  • Maintain a consistent, compelling brand presence in all materials and platforms.
  • Provide the Director of Outreach and Marketing with a master calendar of events, campaigns, promotional moments, and creative deadlines to enable planning and collaboration.
  • Offer strategic direction and creative oversight for design, public relations, and media engagement efforts.
  • Oversee the creation of brochures, flyers, signage, program books, infographics, reports, and branded merchandise.
  • Establish and enforce brand guidelines for internal and external communications.
  • Manage creative requests from across departments, ensuring alignment with brand standards and deadlines.
  • Lead content strategy and execution for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Develop monthly content calendars aligned with organizational priorities and national observances.
  • Track engagement and campaign performance using analytics to optimize future strategy.
  • Conduct interviews with legislators, providers, executives, patients, and partners to generate compelling media content and internal storytelling.
  • Serve as the organization’s primary contact for earned media, press opportunities, and media interviews.
  • Draft press releases, talking points, CEO communications, and op-eds for publication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members of the press and elected officials.
  • Provide creative and strategic support for Betances hosted events, including galas, fundraisers, grand openings, ribbon cuttings, and press events, as well as community outreach initiatives.
  • Develop visual and promotional materials for events, such as programs, backdrop designs, invitations, and media kits.
  • Attend events as needed to capture photography and video and to produce follow-up media content.
  • Develop provider and staff profiles to support patient engagement and recruitment.
  • Produce multimedia assets highlighting care teams and clinical services.
  • Oversee Betances' website content, ensuring information is current, accessible, and engaging; collaborate with web vendors or IT to enhance user experience and search engine optimization.
  • Create and update campaign-specific pages as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of experience in marketing, public relations, or creative strategy, including within an FQHC, health center, or mission-driven nonprofit setting.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, photography, video editing, and content scheduling platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills; capable of conducting interviews and engaging high-profile stakeholders.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling abilities with experience producing executive communications and media-facing content.
  • English/Spanish bilingual abilities preferred.
  • Proven leadership, initiative, and the ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively.
