Job Description

Merchants Auto is seeking an early-career Marketing Specialist to be the day-to-day marketing contact for the Auto Division. This onsite role in Hooksett, NH coordinates campaign activity across digital marketing, social media, website and reputation management, and email marketing, while helping manage timelines and marketing content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the day-to-day marketing contact for the Auto Division, coordinating marketing initiatives and incoming requests across the business.
  • Convert business priorities into marketing projects, campaign briefs, and agency requests.
  • Work with external agencies supporting digital advertising, paid media, website management, social media, SEO, and reputation management.
  • Coordinate project timelines, approvals, deliverables, and internal communications to keep initiatives on track.
  • Support planning and execution of consumer marketing campaigns designed to generate leads, increase website traffic, and drive vehicle sales.
  • Manage dealership advertising and reputation management platforms, ensuring promotions, inventory listings, and messaging remain accurate and current.
  • Create and edit marketing content for email campaigns, websites, social media, and promotional materials.
  • Assist with website updates, email marketing initiatives, and search engine optimization support.
  • Design basic marketing assets using Canva or similar tools for digital campaigns, social media, showroom displays, signage, and promotional events.
  • Maintain content calendars and coordinate scheduling across marketing channels.
  • Monitor online reviews and customer feedback, coordinating responses and escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Review campaign reporting and summarize key performance insights for internal stakeholders.
  • Track marketing metrics to spot trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure marketing materials align with Merchants brand standards and messaging.
  • Support dealership events, community outreach, sales promotions, and other customer-facing marketing activities.

  • Experience: approximately two or more years of marketing experience (internships included), preferably in digital or consumer marketing.
  • Digital marketing knowledge: working knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing best practices.
  • Content creation: experience creating marketing content for multiple channels.
  • Tool familiarity: familiarity with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, social media management tools, or project management software.
  • Agency exposure: experience working with marketing agencies or external vendors is a plus.
  • Reporting interpretation: ability to interpret marketing data and campaign reporting to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Design tools: experience using Canva or similar design tools is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
