Job Description

Marketing Specialist at Ursa Major supports high-impact marketing, content creation, and event initiatives to strengthen brand and drive growth in aerospace/defense.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in producing multimedia marketing content, including graphics, videos, presentations, digital assets, print materials, event collateral, and other branded pieces.
  • Design and edit marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and similar tools while upholding Ursa Major's brand standards.
  • Support video editing, motion graphics, asset selection, layouts, and creative preparation for campaigns, events, internal comms, social, and sales needs.
  • Partner with the Marketing & Social Media Manager to execute the content calendar, organize assets, prepare campaigns, and streamline creative production workflows.
  • Organize and maintain marketing assets such as photo/video libraries, templates, graphics, tradeshow materials, promotional items, and printed collateral.
  • Provide hands-on support for tradeshows, industry events, hosted customer events, employee events, and company activations.
  • Assist with event logistics, including packing and shipping, booth setup/teardown, signage, collateral prep, vendor coordination, registration support, and onsite staffing.
  • Represent Ursa Major professionally at events, engage attendees, answer general questions, direct visitors to team members, and contribute to a polished brand experience.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across marketing, communications, business development, people operations, and technical teams to support creative and event requests.
  • Assist with developing presentations, internal communications materials, recruitment assets, executive visuals, and other storytelling needs.
  • Track project status, deadlines, deliverables, and creative requests to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Support vendor coordination, print production, merchandise orders, and invoice or purchase request processes as needed.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality, accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail across all marketing deliverables.

Requirements

  • Approximately 3–5 years of professional experience in marketing, design, content production, communications, events, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, digital media, business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or comparable programs).
  • Experience using Canva and other creative tools to develop polished, on-brand assets.
  • Proven ability to integrate AI into content creation and workflows in a strategic, secure, and brand-consistent manner.
  • Solid visual design instincts with attention to layout, typography, imagery, brand coherence, and storytelling.
  • Experience creating or supporting video, graphic, presentation, print, or digital content.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and details simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and comfort engaging with employees, customers, partners, vendors, and event attendees.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for tradeshows, industry events, hosted events, and other company needs.
  • Ability to support physical event setup and teardown, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, professional, high-quality work.
