Job Description
Strand Marketing is seeking a Senior Marketing Data Analyst to drive performance analysis, data integrity, and actionable insights across affiliate, email, native, and display marketing channels in a hybrid role based in Hermosa Beach, CA.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cross‑channel performance analysis for affiliate, email, native, and display campaigns, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization
- Verify and harmonize data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy in internal reports and client deliverables
- Develop and maintain dashboards and automated reporting to enhance visibility and speed decision‑making
- Create forecasting models and ROI analyses to inform strategic investment decisions
- Collaborate with marketing, BI, and operations teams to support campaign performance and business insights
- Translate complex data into concise narratives for leadership and client stakeholders
- Identify automation opportunities and streamline processes to boost efficiency and reduce manual workload
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in digital marketing analytics, with emphasis on affiliate, email, native, or display channels
- Solid understanding of metrics such as CPA, CPC, CPM, conversion rate, and ROI
- Hands‑on experience building dashboards and reports using Google Sheets, Excel, Domo, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar tools
- Working knowledge of SQL, tracking pixels, tag managers, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
- Familiarity with marketing and partner platforms such as Impact.com, Google Ads, Outbrain/Taboola, Mailchimp, or similar
- Proven ability to convert complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Experience with forecasting, profitability modeling, and performance optimization strategies
- Strong communication skills to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Process‑oriented mindset with a track record of improving workflows and implementing automation
