Marketing Data Analyst
Job Description
In this onsite role, you will turn marketing and business data into reporting, insights, and recommendations that improve decision-making and measure marketing results.
Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and analyze marketing, sales, customer, and promotional data
- Build, maintain, and share recurring marketing reporting assets such as reports, dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics
- Evaluate advertising campaigns, promotional events, digital marketing initiatives, and loyalty program performance
- Spot trends, customer purchasing behaviors, market opportunities, and improvement areas through ongoing data analysis
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations aligned to marketing strategies and business objectives
- Confirm the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of marketing data before reporting or presenting
- Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual marketing performance reports for leadership
- Create charts, graphs, dashboards, and presentations to communicate analytical findings to management and business partners
- Support forecasting for promotional performance, customer trends, and sales opportunities using historical and current data
- Find ways to automate reporting processes and improve efficiency using business intelligence and data visualization tools
- Maintain documentation for reports, data sources, calculations, and reporting procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, sorting, filtering, and data analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
- Skilled at creating clear, accurate, and easy-to-understand reports
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify process improvements and recommend practical solutions
