Marketing Copywriter
Job Description
FPW Media is hiring a part-time Marketing Copywriter in Springfield, OR. The role focuses on creating original marketing content across multiple channels, collaborating closely with designers and stakeholders, and refining copy to align with brand voice, grammar, SEO standards, and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply writing skills and participate in creative brainstorming for content and writing initiatives that support clients and FPW’s internal brand.
- Conceive, write, and edit original copy and headlines, collaborating with designers to produce digital assets such as web copy, white papers, digital ads, email, infographics, media scripts, and other brand touchpoints.
- Develop content by interviewing stakeholders as needed to clarify requirements, crystallize key messages, source accurate information, and align on feedback, including when deadlines are tight.
- Work effectively in a collaborative environment by listening to stakeholder input and responding respectfully with strong communication and confidence.
- Present concepts and draft copy to internal teams and clients, soliciting feedback and addressing it professionally.
- Partner with FPW’s digital team to validate copy with real users, review data from assets, and optimize copy for performance.
- Edit and refine content to meet brand voice, grammar standards, and SEO best practices.
- Apply proven skills to ensure spelling, grammar, and brand standards are followed consistently.
- Conduct detailed research with strong attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Copywriting, Business, English, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Comparable record of copywriting experience.
- At least 3 years of copywriting experience.
- Ability to work independently while following established guidelines and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand, stoop, and bend throughout the day.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Copywriting, Business, English, Public Relations, or a related field is required.
