Job Description

This onsite, part-time opportunity at Fashion Square Mall offers practical, hands-on experience across social media, event development, and community marketing. You will support mall marketing efforts by creating social content, aiding in event concepting and execution, producing on-brand materials, and strengthening relationships with tenants and the surrounding community. You’ll collaborate with the Director of Marketing and the mall management team to help amplify visibility and engagement across center initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Development and Execution: Create and implement social media plans aligned with marketing objectives; produce platform-appropriate content that reflects current trends, adheres to brand standards, and drives audience engagement.
  • Content Creation: Capture on-site photos and videos, develop Canva graphics, and produce short-form video content; contribute to trending content to boost visibility and relevance.
  • Event Concepting and Coordination: Assist in generating event concepts for Fashion Square Mall, outlining goals and recommending themes or community partnerships.
  • Vendor and Partner Outreach: Communicate with vendors, local organizations, performers, and community partners to support event planning and logistics.
  • Event Marketing and Execution: Support on-site event planning and execution, including setup, day-of activities, content capture, and pre/post-event promotional efforts.
  • Community and Tenant Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants to identify opportunities for features, spotlights, promotions, and collaborative social content.
  • Campaign and Promotion Support: Develop digital assets for promotional campaigns, store announcements, sales highlights, seasonal messaging, and center-wide initiatives; ensure materials meet Summit Properties USA brand standards.
  • Online Presence Monitoring: Observe social media activity and emerging trends to identify opportunities for content improvement and better performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with the Director of Marketing and mall management to maintain consistent messaging and branding, contributing to ongoing marketing plans.
  • Reporting and Organization: Provide weekly updates on content progress, social performance, event development, and tenant-focused opportunities.
  • Note: This role description is not exhaustive; additional marketing-related responsibilities may be assigned as business needs evolve.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and current social media trends
  • Experience in photography, videography, and caption writing
  • Proficiency in Canva or similar graphic design tools
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Professional, reliable, organized, and comfortable interacting with tenants, vendors, and the public
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency
