Marketing Coordinator

This onsite Marketing Coordinator role supports daily digital marketing and communications for Sun Collectors, a Peoria, Illinois based solar energy provider. The position emphasizes social media management, website updates, content creation, email marketing, and community-facing communications to enhance brand awareness and support lead generation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, schedule, and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube
• Maintain the social media content calendar and ensure timely execution
• Craft engaging captions and calls-to-action aligned with the brand voice
• Monitor comments, messages, and overall engagement; respond or escalate as appropriate
• Support online reputation management, including review responses and business listings
• Update website content in WordPress for Sun Collectors and Oasis Electric
• Write, edit, and publish blog posts and podcast content
• Ensure website content remains current and aligned with promotions
• Implement basic SEO practices, including metadata, headings, internal links, and alt text
• Draft, design, and deploy email campaigns and e-newsletters
• Support client and prospect communications related to promotions and events
• Maintain consistent messaging and brand voice across communications
• Create basic graphics using Canva, Adobe, or similar tools
• Assist in building and managing digital ad campaigns under the director's guidance
• Monitor campaign performance and suggest optimizations
• Ensure all visual assets align with brand guidelines
• Draft press releases and community announcements
• Assist with promotion of events, sponsorships, and company milestones
• Coordinate with vendors, freelancers, and media partners
• Track marketing project timelines and deliverables
• Assist with CRM lead tracking and timely handoffs to the sales team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a minimum of five years in digital marketing or a related role
• Strong social media management and content creation skills
• Experience with WordPress and email marketing platforms is preferred
• Basic graphic design experience with Canva, Adobe, or similar tools
• Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals and digital marketing best practices
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Self-starter able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong written communication and copywriting skills
