Marketing Coordinator
Job Description
The Marketing Coordinator at Alta Planning + Design supports proposal development, coordinates multi-disciplinary teams, and advances marketing and communications across urban planning projects.
Responsibilities
- Organize and coordinate proposal teams to respond to RFQs and RFPs, and develop strategy for formal proposals, including production scheduling, internal meeting facilitation, content placement, writing and editing portions of proposals, formatting, proofreading, and print management.
- Develop and update marketing collateral including staff bios and resumes, emerging market documents, and brochures using advanced InDesign skills.
- Lead heavy document production for proposals in InDesign, covering page layout, graphic selection, copyediting, and publishing.
- Track and monitor proposal efforts and activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in implementing annual marketing planning and strategic plans.
- Participate in market research and other creative projects such as white papers, branding campaigns, and newsletter development.
- Collaborate with a highly cross-functional team across the organization to produce engaging work that advances the business.
Requirements
- Curiosity about the field of urban planning and design.
- Some familiarity with the proposal development process for public agencies.
- Exhibits strong initiative with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- 2+ years of experience in a marketing, graphic design, business administration, or related position.
- Prior experience leading or playing a key role in developing responses to RFPs/RFQs.
- Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, marketing, business, urban planning, or a related field of study.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and analytic skills.
- Exhibits strong initiative, the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional teams, and the ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Understanding of the proposal development process for public agencies.
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel, Word, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar products.
- Excellent professional ethics, accountability, and decision-making capabilities.
- Understanding of enterprise-wide management tools.
