Marketing Content Strategy, Associate

Responsibilities

• Content execution and management: Collaborate with in-house writers to develop high-quality content for the Marcus site, resource hub, newsletter, and organic social channels.
• SEO strategy: Work with the team and external agency to identify keyword opportunities, optimize on-page content, and ensure editorial output aligns with search best practices to drive organic growth.
• Organic social: Oversee the organic social calendar and partner with creative teams to produce assets (video, infographics, copy) that resonate with a retail banking audience.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Serve as a liaison among Marketing, Product, and Legal/Compliance to ensure content is accurate, brand-compliant, and technically sound.
• Performance tracking: Partner with Analytics to monitor content performance (traffic, engagement, conversions) and apply insights to future content tactics.
• Brand consistency: Maintain the Marcus tone of voice, characterized by simplicity and transparency, across all organic touchpoints.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience: 3–5 years in content marketing and/or digital strategy.
• Digital proficiency: Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and social media algorithms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Communication: Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex financial topics for a general audience.
• Project management: Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, editorial calendars, and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and managing agency relationships.
• Industry knowledge: Financial Services or Fintech experience is preferred but not required; a passion for consumer advocacy and financial literacy is a plus.
