Marketing Communications Writer

This hybrid role in Norfolk, VA supports Elevance Health's marketing objectives by providing advanced creative and technical writing for moderately complex materials used in presale and acquisition and retention initiatives. The position partners with business leaders across Large Group, National Accounts, GRS, and Carelon to shape messaging that informs and engages clients, while collaborating with creative teams to deliver high‑quality communications with timely turnaround, all while adhering to corporate standards and approvals.

Location: Norfolk, VA (hybrid).

Salary: USD 70,224 - 110,124 per year.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders to define goals for attracting and retaining clients across Large Group, National Accounts, GRS, and Carelon.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of communication plans, strategies, and materials, and propose improvements.
• Work with creative teams to understand audience needs and deliver high quality communications with quick turnaround times.
• Research, write, edit, and review content for proposal executive summaries, sales events, finalist and capabilities meetings, and retention and renewal presentations.
• Ensure all materials comply with business and legal requirements, follow corporate standards, guidelines, and approval processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support key initiatives, including plain language, standardization, brand voice, company pillars, and precise legal and site references.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
