Marketing & Business Development Coordinator
Job Description
Stratus Services, LLC is hiring a Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to help expand the company’s marketplace presence through speaking engagements and industry event strategy. This onsite role in Anchorage, AK (relocation not mentioned) supports the marketing calendar, connects activity to pipeline, and helps turn leadership visibility into measurable sales conversations.
Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 yearly. Experience: 2+ years. Work location: In person.

Responsibilities
- Research conferences, trade shows, associations, podcasts, panels, webinars, and other speaking opportunities relevant to Stratus Services.
- Identify and track calls for speakers, submission deadlines, sponsorship opportunities, and upcoming industry events.
- Develop and submit speaker applications, abstracts, session descriptions, and supporting materials.
- Build relationships with conference organizers, associations, vendors, and industry partners.
- Coordinate speaking engagements for Stratus leadership and subject-matter experts.
- Maintain an annual calendar of speaking opportunities, conferences, trade shows, and submission deadlines.
- Research and recommend trade shows and conferences based on audience, cost, strategic value, and potential return.
- Coordinate event registration, sponsorships, booth requirements, travel logistics, promotional materials, and deadlines.
- Work with vendors to develop booth signage, banners, handouts, promotional items, and other event materials.
- Develop pre-event marketing campaigns to drive meetings and booth traffic.
- Coordinate post-event follow-up and route leads to the appropriate team members.
- Track event costs, leads, meetings, opportunities, and overall ROI.
- Maintain checklists and repeatable processes for Stratus events.
- Assist with development and execution of the overall Stratus Services marketing calendar.
- Coordinate LinkedIn and other relevant social media activity.
- Turn speaking engagements, projects, customer successes, and company milestones into marketing content.
- Work with technical and leadership teams to translate complex technology and cybersecurity topics into understandable marketing content.
- Help develop case studies, presentations, one-pagers, email campaigns, event materials, and other sales collateral.
- Maintain consistency with Stratus Services branding and messaging.
- Coordinate photography, video, graphic design, printing, and other outside marketing resources when needed.
- Work with leadership and sales to identify target industries, organizations, associations, and communities where Stratus should increase its presence.
- Research partnership, sponsorship, networking, and community engagement opportunities.
- Help develop campaigns surrounding strategic services and initiatives.
- Maintain lists of prospects, event contacts, partners, and industry relationships.
- Coordinate follow-up campaigns after conferences, presentations, and other marketing activities.
- Help connect marketing activity to actual sales opportunities and revenue.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, event coordination, business development, communications, or a related role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and project-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, vendors, and projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable communicating professionally with executives, vendors, customers, and event organizers.
- Strong research skills and willingness to proactively seek out new opportunities.
- Experience coordinating conferences, trade shows, corporate events, or speaking engagements is strongly preferred.
- Experience with LinkedIn and business-to-business marketing.
- Comfortable working with CRM, marketing automation, project-management, and collaboration platforms.
- Basic understanding of analytics to measure marketing performance.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects without requiring constant direction.
- Willingness to travel for conferences, trade shows, and company events as needed.
