Marketing Associate
Job Description
Marketing Associate at Native Nation Events supports planning and executing campaigns to boost attendance, sponsorship, and engagement for conferences.
Responsibilities
- Plan, draft, and execute promotional email campaigns designed to attract attendees and sponsors across multiple conferences
- Use HubSpot to build campaigns, manage contact lists, and monitor performance metrics
- Develop compelling subject lines and on-brand content focused on conversions and clean design
- Proofread all communications for accuracy, tone, grammar, and formatting
- Monitor campaign performance (open and click rates, conversions) and propose optimizations
- Manage and update content on WordPress websites
- Assist with social media content creation and scheduling (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
- Coordinate post-conference communications, surveys, and reporting
- Prepare and ship marketing supplies and sponsor materials to event sites
- Collaborate with designers to develop on-brand graphics for digital and print
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of marketing experience with a strong focus on email marketing and content creation
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot (or similar CRM/email platform) strongly preferred
- Proven ability to write clear, engaging, and persuasive copy for marketing campaigns
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to proofread/edit for clarity and tone
- Familiarity with WordPress and basic CMS tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Event or conference marketing experience is a plus

Compensation & Schedule
- Salary: $45,000–$50,000 per year (based on experience)
- Bonus opportunities based on performance
- Location: Virginia Beach, VA (onsite)
- Schedule: Full-time, in-person, Monday to Friday
- Occasional travel for conferences
