Job Description

The AmeriCorps VISTA role will support Reading Partners by improving volunteer and partner recruitment through scalable digital marketing systems. The position will strengthen outreach capabilities using reusable content and training resources, standardized performance reporting, and region-ready infrastructure across California.

Responsibilities

  • Assess national and regional digital outreach practices to identify opportunities to strengthen volunteer and partner recruitment
  • Research social media and short-form video strategies and develop a scalable outreach framework
  • Document marketing workflows and create editorial calendars, content tools, and training resources
  • Develop systems for adapting national resources to local audiences
  • Create customizable social media templates and digital outreach materials
  • Build a shared marketing asset library
  • Establish key performance indicators and standardized reporting using tools including Hootsuite Enterprise and Google Analytics
  • Develop dashboards to support data-informed decisions
  • Analyze performance data and recommend improvements to outreach and volunteer recruitment
  • Gather feedback and create transition resources to sustain marketing infrastructure

Requirements

  • Excellent writing, communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • Interest in digital marketing, social media, content creation, volunteer engagement, or nonprofit communications
  • Experience with social media management, graphic design, video production, analytics, or digital marketing tools is a plus
