Job Description
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator role at Rider University is an onsite opportunity in Lawrenceville, NJ that blends strategic storytelling with brand building. It offers a salary range of USD 55,500 to 60,700 per year and a collaborative environment focused on cross‑department impact. You will help shape the university’s voice across digital channels, drive social media strategy, and connect prospective students, current students, alumni and the broader community through advertising, email marketing and newsletters.
Responsibilities
- Create and distribute compelling written, visual and digital content.
- Develop and manage the university’s social media presence, including content planning, publishing, engagement and performance analysis.
- Strengthen Rider University’s visibility, reputation and brand awareness across digital platforms.
- Connect prospective students, current students, alumni and the broader community to the Rider experience through advertising, email marketing and newsletter content.
- Collaborate with departments, colleges and administrative offices across the university to support institutional priorities and ensure a consistent, engaging brand voice.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, social media management or content creation.
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills with the ability to craft engaging content for a variety of audiences and platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality content.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency with content management systems and social media management tools.
- Working knowledge of photography, video editing and digital content creation software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar.
