Job Description
Newark Manor Nursing Home is a small, family‑owned long‑term care facility in Newark, Delaware, dedicated to compassionate care and strong community ties. The Director of Admissions and Marketing leads a market‑driven approach to census growth through targeted outreach, robust referral partnerships, and integrated social services. This onsite role collaborates with administration to ensure smooth admissions and a welcoming first impression for families, referral sources, and community partners.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all facility marketing and outreach activities within the healthcare community and surrounding region
- Develop and sustain referral networks with hospitals, case managers, physicians, assisted living facilities, and community partners
- Promote facility services and opportunities for future Medicare skilled expansion
- Manage inquiry pipelines and convert referrals into admissions
- Represent the facility at networking events, referral meetings, and community engagements
- Support census development strategies in collaboration with the administration
- Create a positive, consistent first impression for families, referral sources, and stakeholders
- Manage the full admissions process from initial inquiry to move-in
- Conduct resident and family interviews with compassion and professionalism
- Coordinate smooth transitions with nursing, social services, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance throughout the admission process
- Support family education during the admission decision-making process
- Respond to and assist with resident and family grievances, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation
- Complete or coordinate Social Service Evaluations and Assessments for residents
- Support adjustment to facility placement and ongoing psychosocial needs
- Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary communication
- Ensure completion and compliance with PASRR requirements
- Assist with DMOST/MOLST discussions and documentation in collaboration with clinical staff and providers
Requirements
- Licensed nurse (RN or LPN) preferred but not required
- Experience in marketing, admissions, healthcare outreach, social services, or case management strongly preferred
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Comfortable with external community engagement and professional networking
- Organized, self-directed, and results-oriented
- Knowledge of long-term care admissions, PASRR, and Medicaid/Medicare processes is advantageous

Pay
Salary: USD 70,000 - 80,000 per year
