Job Description
Digital Marketing & Growth Manager role at JAWC LLC (Mule Extracts) focused on opted-in audience growth and multichannel campaigns that drive measurable sell-through at partner dispensaries.
Responsibilities
- Build a consumer audience from zero to opt-in, using website sign-ups, landing pages, and in-store or vendor-day capture with 21+ age verification for every consumer.
- Grow the budtender audience with the Field Marketing Lead and brand ambassadors; own capture tools and convert sign-ups into active contacts within 2 business days.
- Create segmented communications for dispensary owners, buyers, and managers.
- Own segmentation, welcome sequences, consent tracking, list hygiene, and audience reporting.
- Build compliant prospect lists of buyers at dispensaries that Sales is targeting.
- Plan and run campaigns across email, organic social, compliant paid digital and retail media, plus website, SEO, and cannabis discovery platforms.
- Drive shoppers to partner dispensaries using store-level links, codes, or where-to-buy tracking on every consumer campaign.
- Run market-specific plays: awareness and trial for New Jersey; loyalty and repeat purchase for Oregon.
- Operate warm-up journeys that move prospect buyers toward a first conversation, then hand warm buyers to Sales reps.
- Set SEO and content priorities and produce blogs, educational articles, and website copy.
- Write landing page briefs, lead magnets, and sign-up paths.
- Act as day-to-day contact for the website consultant and maintain a prioritized backlog.
- Own each product launch digital plan: launch emails, social content, product pages, and landing pages.
- Run the budtender email program delivering Budtender Academy education content.
- Send dispensary communications that support Sales and Field Marketing.
- Publish a weekly scorecard and monthly report split by New Jersey and Oregon.
- Use sell-through results from Sales to decide whether to repeat, improve, or stop campaigns.
- Design and operate AI agent workflows for drafting, repurposing, research, reporting, and list hygiene, with human review of every output.
Requirements
- Personal experience planning and running campaigns across multiple digital channels, including the ability to explain each channel’s contribution.
- Experience growing an email list or owned audience: where it started, where it ended, and how long it took.
- Hands-on ability to drive customers to a retail/dealer/partner location and measure results using store-level links, codes, locator clicks, or partner sales data.
- Ability to generate and nurture B2B leads and hand qualified leads to Sales with acceptance or conversion results.
- Hands-on copywriting and editing for emails, landing pages, web copy, and educational content.
- Experience with email platforms, segmentation, automation, consent, and deliverability.
- Working knowledge of SEO, landing pages, and conversion tracking, plus the ability to brief a developer.
- Performance-driven iteration: use data to change a campaign or funnel and show what happened next.
- Practical, demonstrable use of AI and AI agents in a marketing workflow with results and human review.
- Sound judgment on consent, privacy, age-gating, and regulated marketing.
- Must be 21 or older and able to meet New Jersey cannabis employment requirements.
