Business Insurance Marketing Associate
Job Description
Marsh is seeking a Business Insurance Marketing Associate to support marketing and placement for business insurance accounts from the Nashville, TN office (onsite).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the marketing leader and production teams to develop placement solutions for business insurance accounts of varying sizes.
- Join monthly meetings with producers and account managers to review renewals and shape marketing strategies.
- Request and prepare new business and renewal applications, including supplements, for carrier submissions.
- Enter rating information into automated processing systems and quote new business as directed.
- Maintain strong relationships with authorized carriers, serving as a liaison and meeting with carrier representatives as needed to relay pricing and product details.
- Stay informed on marketing trends, coverage developments, and carrier information, sharing insights as appropriate.
- Support carrier directives and guidelines as required.
- Assist Client Teams with accurate data entry into the Agency Management System.
- Provide backup support to production teams to manage workloads and workflows.
- Uphold established service and quality standards and document files according to company guidelines.
- Process surplus lines filings as necessary.
- Deliver on Client Team requirements, including proposals, coverage comparisons, client marketing summaries, and benchmarking.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a Business Insurance Account Manager role, including marketing and placement support.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Desirable experience in commercial rating.
- Advanced designations (CPCU, CIC, AU, ARM, CRM) are a plus.
- Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills with excellent customer service.
- Attention to detail, sense of urgency, and solid problem-solving abilities.
- Positive, respectful attitude and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Solid negotiation skills with awareness of attitudes, tone, and timing.
- Established relationships with carriers and solid industry/product knowledge.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Agency Management Systems (AMS) such as Sagitta, ImageRight, AMS 360, EPIC, or Indio.
- Familiarity with tools like Reference Connect and Mod Master.
