Writer/Producer, Social (TV Creative Marketing)
Job Description
Based in Culver City, CA on a hybrid schedule, this hands-on writer/producer/editor role delivers social-first content for the studio's slate of television series, translating scripted IP into platform-native assets. The position reports to the Executive Director, Social Creative and offers a salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Review scripts, episode cuts, and related materials to identify social-first storylines and moments that extend narratives and foster fan engagement.
- Develop, pitch, and execute platform-native social concepts that remain authentic to each show's voice and tone.
- On set, during press days, and at events, capture high-quality social content, collaborating directly with talent and creative teams.
- Conduct on-camera interviews and talent interactions, asking thoughtful questions to reveal personality, humor, and insight.
- Write, produce, shoot, and edit short-form video content tailored for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Translate the social brand voice into day-to-day content across multiple series.
- Deliver assets rapidly while maintaining high creative and technical standards.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, Social Creative and broader Creative Marketing teams to ensure content aligns with series and studio strategy.
- Coordinate with production, publicity, and franchise partners to maintain smooth on-set workflows and approvals.
- Monitor performance and engagement, using insights to refine approaches and inform future concepts.
- Support major campaigns, premieres, and cultural moments with reactive social content.
- Maintain organized workflows, asset management, and versioning across multiple active shows.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience as a social writer, producer, or content creator in entertainment, streaming, digital media, or agency settings.
- Proven ability to concept, shoot, and edit short-form video content end-to-end.
- Strong writing skills with a clear sense of voice, tone, and timing for humor or emotion.
- Hands-on experience capturing content on set and working directly with talent.
- Deep familiarity with social platforms, trends, formats, and audience behaviors.
- High proficiency with editing tools such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut, After Effects, or equivalents.
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence operating in live production environments.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to take direction while contributing original ideas.
- Passion for television, pop culture, and social storytelling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, Advertising, or equivalent professional experience.
