Work Study, Auxiliary Support (Interactive Marketing)
Job Description
The Work Study, Auxiliary Support in the Interactive Marketing department supports the Tri-C Street Team by assisting with social media content, mascot activities, and campus event promotion. This onsite student role is based at the Jerry Sue Thornton Center in Cleveland, OH, reporting to the Manager of Social Media. There are five openings; the position is internal and reserved for current students.
Responsibilities
- Social Media Engagement: Collaborate with the Tri-C Marketing and Communications team to create engaging social media posts and reels. Highlight events, student experiences, and campus happenings to boost school spirit and awareness.
- Student Influencer Role: Represent Tri-C online and in person by showcasing your authentic student experience, helping to grow engagement on official Tri-C social channels.
- Mascot Performance: Stomp the Mascot: Embody Tri-C spirit by performing as Stomp at events, games, and promotional appearances. Must be between 5'7" and 6'0" to qualify for costume fit.
- Mascot Handler: Support the mascot by managing event logistics, coordinating crowd interactions, and ensuring safety and engagement.
- Event Support: Assist with promoting and participating in on-campus events and activities as a high-energy, visible ambassador of Tri-C.
Requirements
- Consistently maintain 6 credit hour each semester;
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
- Adhere to College’s confidentiality policy;
- Successfully pass background/drug screening;
- Support of auxiliary or retail services;
- Familiarity with the college/campus locations;
- Work with specialized equipment as designated by position;
- Maintain consistent scheduling availability;
- Other duties as assigned.

- Tri-C Street Team Job Description: The Tri-C Student Street Team is a position that supports the College’s marketing and communications efforts through various roles. Team members may create social media content, serve as the College mascot (Stomp), or assist as a mascot handler at campus and community events. Students can participate in one or more of these roles based on their interests and availability.
- The position offers hands-on experience in content creation, event support, and brand representation.
