About the role

As a Senior Marketing Specialist, you will be part of the Marketing team within the Brand, Marketing and Business Development (BMBD) group. You will work alongside a hub of marketing peers led by a Regional Marketing Team Leader, partnering with Markets, Offices and Services that rely on marketing support to advance their message and win pursuits. You will collaborate across the BMBD community with Marketing, Graphics, Communications and Knowledge Management teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of proposal materials, coordinating and producing deliverables across all stages of the process
  • Drive large, strategic, and complex pursuit processes from proposal coordination through interview; may lead visual themes and strategic messaging and develop creative ideas for proposals and interview content
  • Collaborate with Marketing teammates, BMBD members and Client Leaders to shape pursuit strategies, from client engagement to proposal and interview, to secure a win
  • Create and update resumes, portfolio pages, presentations and related marketing materials using design templates while adhering to brand standards
  • Contribute to collateral that supports our markets, offices and services
  • Provide marketing research for overall market and office strategy as well as for individual clients and pursuits
  • Lead local and regional marketing activities such as sponsorships, award submissions, events and photography that align with PR and Communications objectives
  • Develop strong, in-depth knowledge of the firm’s portfolio, personnel and offerings
  • Develop subject matter expertise across markets, typologies, services, technology or other areas to add value to marketing initiatives and pursuits
  • Work with the Regional Marketing Team Leader to support training and ongoing development of Marketing Specialists
  • Provide peer review and oversight for content accuracy and quality
  • Self-review all work for accuracy and quality
  • Maintain and update Deltek VantagePoint for clients and pursuits
  • Maintain a well-organized proposal filing system
  • Internalize marketing best practices
  • May participate in external marketing activities
  • May perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of related marketing or communications experience in a professional services firm
  • Proactive, self-driven, organized, detail-oriented and enthusiastic about innovation
  • Strong time and project management skills and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to drive large, complex pursuits end-to-end
  • Solid skills in strategic thinking, writing and design, with potential to further develop in at least one of these areas
  • Strong proficiency with InDesign, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
