Job Description
Lidl is hiring a Sr. Manager for Marketing Strategy and Campaign Planning in Arlington, VA onsite, focused on high impact campaigns, in-store signage, and experiential events.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Oversee the annual marketing plan, collaborating with teams across insights, loyalty, promotions, purchasing, PR, supply chain, and international partners, grounded in grocery retail market knowledge.
- Campaign planning: shepherd the full campaign lifecycle from concept and internal alignment to execution and post-mortem analysis.
- In-Store Signage & Refits: Own the in-store signage channel; lead the signage team to ensure cohesive visual merchandising aligned with campaigns, scalable from promotions to store remodels; manage print marketing processes including production timelines, legal reviews, asset approvals, and vendor funding; coordinate with external print/production partners for consistency across markets.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Align internal marketing teams with external print and production partners to maintain brand and campaign consistency across all markets.
- Experiential events, Partnerships & community engagement: Lead the Events & Partnerships team to design and execute compelling experiential marketing events; drive regional partnerships with a centralized vision and adaptable local execution; manage end-to-end lifecycle of grand openings and reopenings, from pre-launch buzz to day-of execution and post-launch engagement.
- Performance Optimization: Measure campaign effectiveness through data analysis and translate metrics into actionable insights to continually refine future marketing strategies.
- Financial Partnership: Collaborate with the Marketing Finance specialist to determine effective and budget-conscious media strategies for each channel.
Requirements
- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of the retail grocery and consumer goods sector.
- Leadership: Excellent supervisory and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to train, delegate, and elevate others.
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to build partnerships and maximize relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Project Management: Highly organized with exceptional time-management skills and meticulous attention to detail; proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Analytical Thinking: Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities to translate data into actionable marketing strategies.
